Address: No. 15GF, Jalan SS 2/75, 47300 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia
Business Hours: Weekdays 12pm to 10pm, Weekends 11.30am to 10pm
A no-frills, stripped down version of your more popular conveyor-belt sushi outlets such as Sushi King or Sakae Sushi.
A comfortable enough, though slightly cramped outlet in the heart of SS2, it was surprisingly packed even at 9pm on a Sunday when we visited.
One of its selling points was its uber cheap RM1.80 and RM2.80 sushi plates. We half expected the quality of the raw fish or the rice to be slightly compromised, as it ought to be with such lowered prices, but surprisingly, it was comparable to its more expensive competitor standards.
However, do not be fooled as it is nowhere near as fresh or as generous as the premium or even proper Japanese restaurants. This place is NOT a place to go if you are looking for quality or premium food.
Instead, this is a place to go if you’ve got a sudden craving for express sushi on a plate that is kind on the pocket. For its price, it is pretty damn worth it.
Pricing: 8.5/10 – very value for money, especially if you go for all its RM1.80 or RM2.80 sushi on a plate. The other stuffs can be slightly more exp, but nowhere near Sushi King prices even.
Quality: 7/10 -Better than expected considering its pricing. But compared to authentic Jap restaurants, nowhere near.
Environment: 6/10 – Very bare, basic but relatively clean and comfy.
Service: 7/10 – Our service was pretty fast. They seem like they have a good ordering and delivery system in place which ensures the food comes correctly and not too long after you ordered.
Location: 7/10 – food square of SS2. Parking and driving around during peak hours may be a hassle.
Comeback Factor: yes, when low on cash yet want to satisfy a cheap sushi craving.
