Tucked inside a quiet Centrepoint, Bandar Utama, is this new Thai restaurant serving up delicious Thai dishes in very classy, nicely decorated environment.

One of its standout feature is how tastefully decorated it is. You could tell that the owner invested a lot of time and money into ornaments, decoration, furniture and the general ambience of the place.

It is very modern, chic yet retains many vintage Thai elements to its set up. A very nice place to chill out with friends, go on a date or enjoy with family.
There is even corners for private dinning (seats up to 12) if you want some privacy.
Food-wise, it is commendable. Not the greatest Thai food I have had though. It is respectable, with the spiciness, variety of dishes and presentation all very competently done. What it lacks certain places, for example, My Elephant is any standout dishes which makes you wanna order more rice just to enjoy its delicious gravy.
One of its best dishes we had tonight was its pandan chicken, though. Expertly marinaded chicken cooked well inside pandan leaves to give it a properly pandan-infused spicy smell. Very succullent.
The tomyum (we had both the clear and creamy) were good but nothing outstanding. I’ve had better. Soft-shell crab fried with curry was decent, so was their Thai green curry chicken. The dessert was also not too bad, very colourful.
Service was fantastic. Every single waiter and waitress would greet you with palms clasped together and with a customary Thai greeting when you come and when you leave. The service was pretty fast and they were extremely polite and efficient. Maybe it was our luck but one of the waitresses who dealt with us was this very bubbly, helpful lady who gave very good suggestions without over-selling too much.
All in all, we had a decent and good time. The ambience, environment and service overshadowed the good-but-not-great food. Pricing is slightly steep though, so don’t expect to make it a regular place to satisfy Thai food cravings but rather a great place to socialise and hang out for certain ocassions.

Pricing: 5.5/10 – price is a bit steeper than other regular Thai restaurants. Not a place to visit regularly when the Thai food craving kicks in.

Quality: 7/10 – ingredients were fresh and good, though taste-wise it was just good, still short of excellent.

Environment: 9/10 – fantastic. this is one of its selling point. great ambiance and decorations.

Service: 9/10 – enthusiastic staff will greet you as you enter and leave. very fast, helpful and polite servers.

Location: 7/10 – it’s in a centrally located foodie place, Centrepoint, in the heart of PJ and Bandar Utama. a bit out of the way if you aren’t staying nearby these areas.

Comeback Factor: yes for special occasions, functions or outings with people who want to try it, but not something you can afford to go regularly.
